Considered the great summer festival of the Municipality of Mesão Frio, the "Feira do Petisco 2023" will take place on the 28th, 29th and 30th of this month, with an auspicious poster, with thousands of people expected to visit.

To this end, this year it will be hosted in a new space, with better conditions, to receive about 20 exhibitors, a food court with 220 seats and a sequence of 3 major concerts aimed at the entire public.

Thus, on Friday, the opening day of the Fair, people will be able to count on the return of the band "Função Públika", which was a huge success in the 2022 edition, and this year they will appear with a renovated stage and a show with lots of music, light and dazzling visual effects, so it will certainly be a memorable start to the Petisco Fair.

On Saturday, the 29th, there will be the performance of Tiago Bettencourt, who brings his band to celebrate 20 years of career. The renowned artist who was the lead singer of Toranja has strong family ties to Mesão Frio, so this will be a very special concert.

On Sunday, the 30th, the Petisco Fair will close in beauty, with the presence of Zé Amaro. A very popular artist who drags a legion of fans to all the places where he acts and who has many followers in Mesão Frio and in the region.

 

The Petisco Fair 2023 will then take place in an unprecedented space, located at the Rotunda do Centro Escolar and Rua Prof. António da Natividade, which meet the ideal conditions to receive the party venue where a giant tent 50 meters long will be installed. This tent will house the 5 catering spaces and the 4 wine producers who will be able to serve their best products in a closed space, with a capacity to seat 220 people simultaneously.

Between the tent and the stage will be the outdoor enclosure of the party, an area where more exhibitors with varied products will be installed and where the highlight goes to the presence of 3 bars promoted by three local associations: the Volunteer Firefighters of Mesão Frio, the Sport Club of Mesão Frio and the São Mamede de Vila Marim Festival Committee. It is noteworthy that also in the restoration will be present the Feast Committee of Santa Maria de Oliveira, which demonstrates the vitality of the associative movement of the Municipality of Mesão Frio.

The Mayor of Mesão Frio, Paulo Silva, states that "This year we decided to give a new face to the Petisco Fair, starting with the new location where it will take place. We wanted to bet on a place that will allow us to receive more people, increasing the capacity of capacity and offer, with several exhibitors from the Municipality and the region."

 

 

Throughout the three days there will be a lot of musical entertainment, gastronomy and wines. They reinforced the involvement of the collectivities of the Municipality, offering a greater diversity of offer, both at the gastronomic level and at the wine level and have three concerts by renowned artists.

 

 

"The investment made in this Petisco Fair follows the bet that this Executive has been making on the cultural offer, which is fundamental for the development of the Municipality and to project it across borders. This event is one of the anchor events included in the program of the European City of Wine 2023, which makes us believe that it will provide greater visibility to the Petisco Fair and Mesão Frio ", concluded the mayor.
