Celebrating a long tradition of recognizing excellence in wine, gastronomy and wine tourism, Revista de Vinhos is preparing to hold its prestigious annual awards ceremony, the Best of the Year 2023, in its 27th edition. The event, scheduled for February 9, 2024, will take place at Alfândega do Porto.

 

Since 1996, Revista de Vinhos has been highlighting outstanding individuals and projects that contribute to the elevation of the world of wine, gastronomy and wine tourism. With 25 different categories, the evening promises to reveal the personalities who, throughout 2023, have stood out in an exceptional way.

Among the top prizes to be awarded at the ceremony, in the Archive Room at Alfândega do Porto, are categories such as "Wine of the Year", "Producer of the Year", "Winemaker of the Year", "Chef of the Year", "Restaurant of the Year" and "Gastronomic Destination of the Year".

As well as celebrating the winners, this edition also marks the twentieth anniversary of Essência Company, the company responsible for designing and managing this event, as well as other significant events, including Essência do Vinho, held in Lisbon and Porto. Essência Company owns the prestigious Revista de Vinhos and Gula publishing brands.

 

The annual Revista de Vinhos gala, known as the "Oscars of wine and gastronomy", is an evening transformed into a celebration by the energy of the protagonists and the rhythm of the surprises they have prepared. Animated by the energy of these protagonists and presented by Maria Cerqueira Gomes and José João Santos, this is also the gala that invites you to revisit the 20 years of Essência Company.
