The Municipality of Foz Côa announces that the edition of the Upper Douro Wine Festival will take place between May 26th and 28th 2023, as usual at the ExpoCoa pavilion.

The Wine Festival is a fair dedicated to the wines of the Upper Douro sub-region, which brings together dozens of Upper Douro wine producers and regional flavors and is visited by thousands of people.

In its 10th edition, it intends to bet on quality to attract more visitors to the territory and to value the wines of the region, two of the objectives of the 10th Wine Festival - Upper Douro. The event has a wide range of parallel initiatives such as competitions, commented wine and olive oil tastings, conferences, music, gastronomy, and lots of entertainment.

The fair will have about 100 exhibitors, tastings, endogenous products, and musical entertainment with Rui Veloso and Marisa Liz. The commented tastings on the program include "Great Whites of the Upper Douro" on the 26th, "Olive Oil from the Upper Douro and Trás-os-Montes" on the 27th, and "Port Wine" on Sunday.

The Mayor of Foz Côa, João Paulo Sousa, says that expectations are high, and the bar is set high in terms of quality, in a festival that aims to be different. The mayor stresses that it is essential to know how to enhance the region's wines and territory.
